Tons Of GMA Interviews With The Cast Of TLJ

Good Morning America sat down with…well, nearly everyone from The Last Jedi. There’s some interesting things and they’re definitely worth a watch. More after the jump.

Good Morning America asked a lot of questions, even the ones like. “Is Benicio Del Toro playing Ezra”…. So, here are some answers and interesting tidbits!

“The last DJ I remember was the son on ‘Roseanne.'” – @HamillHimself on Benicio del Toro @StarWars character “DJ” in #TheLastJedi. #D23expo

How did @lovegwendoline’s Captain Phasma escape the trash compactor in @StarWars? Well, it’s a funny story…#TheLastJedi #D23expo

“That came with a hand, do you have that too?” ? What are Rey & Luke’s first words in #TheLastJedi!? @HamillHimself @StarWars #D23expo

“It’s like a senior citizen coping with uninvited guests.” – @HamillHimself on Luke not being welcoming to Rey in #TheLastJedi. #D23expo

Is there more “gray” between good and evil than black and white in #TheLastJedi than any @StarWars ever before? Yes, yes there is. #D23expo

Is Benicio del Toro playing Ezra from @StarWars Rebels? @rianjohnson says no, but “DJ” does stand for something…#TheLastJedi #D23expo

“Why is [Luke Skywalker] on that island?” – @rianjohnson’s big question for @HamillHimself’s character in #TheLastJedi. #D23expo

“‘The last Jedi’ is tied up in [Luke and Rey’s] story.” – @rianjohnson on the importance of the title of the new @StarWars movie. #D23expo

Does Leia’s story wrap up nicely in #TheLastJedi? @rianjohnson isn’t sure, but he hopes it gives emotional satisfaction. @StarWars #D23expo

So what are you thinking after watching these? I know I’m stilling processing a lot from that sizzle reel. We’re starting to enter what I consider my favorite time before a Star Wars movie (other than the obvious opening day), when we start getting pieces of everything. New creatures, glimpses, toys…it’s all so exciting! At least for me. How about you?

Lucas would always explain everything himself, now its a bunch of actor shilling and you can see how forced their emotion is for this mess story. Sing for the billionaire mouse slaves!

    • Blair Pettis

Uh, no. Mark and Daisy, along with John, Oscar, Rian, etc., will do quite a wonderful job of “explaining”. Count on it.

      • HAVE YOU SMELT IT

Daisy can’t tie a shoe without being given instructions.

      • Carbonite_Hydrates

How much can they explain with the movie 5 months away?

Lucas was always explaining what a prequel was and when those movies took place in relation to the original films.

    • Rivesjunctionite

Lucca explaining the prequels was a huge problem. Audiences should be able to understand characters and stories without needing a director spelling it out in interviews.

      • Carbonite_Hydrates

Lucas explained the Original Trilogy just as much.

If you can get into the prequels they reward multiple viewings because of how much is going on. They are not formulaic in the ways an audience might expect.

        • Hazzbro Jonez

i love them. they are goofy. even though some of the CGI sets are starting too look like levels from TPM for PS1 i still love them. man that dumb glare on that clone troopers visor at the end of ep2 ahahahahahah so cheese so good. i dunno perspective is everything in star wars and i view the prequels through the perspective of my little brother (i took him to all the special edition showings, so he actually viewed ANH in a theater at age 7 and 9 for TPM) much like a view TFA through the eyes of my daughters. and it’s always been the same amazement/wonderment

      • Hazzbro Jonez

it was like asking him a question and him answering, but in the form of a movie!

      • HAVE YOU SMELT IT

There’s nothing to explain in the sequel trilogy. Ever new character is a very poorly detailed carbon copy of someone else.

        • Carbonite_Hydrates

We’ll find out if that continues to be true in December. Having the new characters start in familiar places doesn’t mean they end that way.

A few major differences that could take this new trilogy in unexpected or crazy new directions —

The Prequels and Original Trilogy both take place during galaxy wide civil wars. This new trilogy is an actual war between two seemingly well matched forces.

The sequel trilogy seems to be pitting a new Luke Skywalker – Rey – against a new pre-suit Darth Vader / Yellow Eyed Anakin – Kylo Ren. This is the first time we have two young people opposing each other in Star Wars. Until now it’s been a young hero facing off against establishment figures. This has the potential to take the series in uncharted directions.

As of now anything can happen with the personal lives of the Sequel Trilogy Characters. The prequels were pre-determined. The Original Trilogy had this big love triangle set up and defused with no broken hearts. What’s going to happen here?

          • shane

I hope so. Could be. Could be. Kind of hard not getting excited anyway. Regardless of what happens.

        • dogbite

There’s no pleasing people like you; you would’ve complained that it was “too different” & no longer Stars Wars, or that it was more of the same, lazy, unoriginal, etc.

Be grateful for what we get or don’t be, but please stop wasting energy complaining. I hate to say it, but Disney does not care, they are not listening to this vocal minority of fans upset with the direction of the franchise & frankly, it seems like they’re making their money just fine without you guys.

    • Fire JJ Make SW Great Again!

He would have explained everything but gone into anal detail about it and everyone would complain but at least he would have been creative about it and put some actual thought behind rather than continue to rip off the worst ideas from the EU like Disney has done.

      • Hazzbro Jonez

“and actually i really REALLY started having the ideas for these characters….oh….mmmm.. i think when i was 8…yea 8. that’s when kids you know start thinking about good and bad, but really i could trace the origins of lukakin skywallkiller (that was his original name) back to when i was in my mother’s womb….soooo it really predates everything”
        – george lucas
(even thought i love him to death i still wanna read his ep7 treatment)

    • dogbite

Boo hoo, George is gone & evil Disney runs the show now. Get with the times my friend!

  • Rivesjunctionite

DJ: Dark Jedi or Dumb Jock
    That’s all I got

    • Carbonite_Hydrates

Is Dark Jedi an oxymoron now?

      • Rivesjunctionite

No, now all the Jedi are gray. Gotta specify if they’re actually light or dark.

        • shane

Dark Grey or light Grey. What about an orange Jedi ? How about a Green Jedi ? Any Chance for an off beige Jedi ? A slightly yellow with brown highlights Jedi ?

          • Rivesjunctionite

            Now that’s creative!

      • CT-7567

Good question. I suppose”dark force-user” or “dark side user” would be more apropos now.

        • Carbonite_Hydrates

Dark Forces II – Jedi Knight loved to throw the term “Dark Jedi” around. Everyone was saying it as Kyle Katan hunted down a gang of “Dark Jedi”

It’s probably hammy 90’s video game acting now, but at the time I thought this exchange early in the game between Katan and a bounty hunter droid was sort of chilling.

Kyle Katarn: Don’t waste my time 88, tell me who killed my father.

8t88: Patience. He is a Dark Jedi.

          Kyle Katarn: Jedi?

8t88: DARK Jedi. He’s known as Jerec and he has great plans for the rebirth of the Empire.

The inflection the droid puts on Dark set the tone for the rest of the game.

    • General Hux

DJango Fett re-headed and BACK FOR VENGEANCE !!

      • dogbite

        The D is silent

  • Carbonite_Hydrates

Is it just me – or is it a bit earlier than typical for the cast to be out plugging a new movie? Isn’t this the stuff you usually see 30 days out from the release date?

Or is this all just part of getting news out ahead of Comic-Con to help it standout in everyone’s minds?

    • Rivesjunctionite

Hype machine needs to start early if they’re going to market Solo for six months later. They should take a lesson from the MCU.

      • Carbonite_Hydrates

Don’t bet money on the Solo movie coming out in June 2018. My guess – it’s moved to December.

Sure Disney has Mary Poppins umbrellaing in on Christmas Day 2018 – but I’m not sure how much Han Solo undercuts Mary Poppins.

I think Han Solo was original set for summer to avoid Avatar – but now Avatar is pushed back so technology to catch up to James Cameron’s imagination or more likely to avoid the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy entirely in the hopes Avatar can become the next huge cultural sensation.

        • Fire JJ Make SW Great Again!

Nobody cares about Avatar anymore. It’s less relevant than the Pirates series and we saw how that last one did.

          • Carbonite_Hydrates

Agreed! But the people running movie studios seem completely def to that sort of thing. They’re still seeing the big $$$$$$$ it made around the globe in the more valuable 2009 dollars as the ultimate audience approval rating.

Hence why we get more Pirates and Transformers. And the other studios continue to run from the shadow of those type of movies release dates keeping their films away.

Cameron is a pretty smart guy. He saw what The Force Awakens did at the box office and knew Star Wars was going to bury any and all other movies in the popular consciousness for at least five years.

And for Avatar to do what Cameron needs it to do – that Star Wars sized iceberg needs to melt quite a bit.

          • shane

Yea really. I’ll probably see them but who cares.

        • General Hux

Eh, if the Han Solo movie was being pushed back I think we would know by now.

          • Carbonite_Hydrates

The big switch with Ron Howard just happened. There is a lot of time between now and June 2018 and even more time between now and December 2018.

          • General Hux

It’s actually scheduled for May. I wouldn’t be terribly shocked if it was delayed but I still don’t think it will.

          • Carbonite_Hydrates

The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and Rogue One were all scheduled for May at one point too.

I’m really looking forward to when we finally get two Star Wars films in six month. But I’m not holding my breath yet.

          • CT-7567

Idk if it matters to you given your age(not knocking it, just that you were very young for the PT and not around for the OT), but SW films were always a summer event. The first six films were all released in May and TCW feature was in August. For the PT, we got the toys on April 1st at midnight. It was very exciting to see new characters for the first time or learn their names from the toys. It’s also more fun to go toy hunting in nice weather. Often a summer SW toy run can be combined with a day trip or even on vacation. The one thing that’s good about a December release is that the right before Xmas. This could lead to a nice tradition of seeing the new SW film just before the holidays and then getting a bunch of figures for presents. Unfortunately distribution has been terrible and the toys are released too early in September. For TFA and RO, by Xmas I already had everything from FF and anything new was to HTF. I’m not happy about the Solo film, but seeing it in May would be a small step in the right direction.

          • General Hux

Oh yeah, they were always released in May because of Geroge’s birthday in the same month…I wish they would’ve honored that but I still like Star Wars movies around Christmas time.

          • CT-7567

Was it because of his birthday? I never knew that. I knew his birthday was in May, but I just assumed ANH was released in May late because it was supposed to be December 1976. So maybe December works in a retrospective way.

    • General Hux

Star Wars is Star Wars….The hype for these movies is unreal.

      • CT-7567

        Agreed. Unreal and well deserved.

        • shane

I can’t help it. Regardless of how TLJ turns out, I’m getting pumped

          • CT-7567

Me too. But at the same time I’m concerned. First we heard about new walkers. Then those images from that TLJ pinball machine show a submerged T-70 X-Wing. Presumably on Ach-To being the one Luke flew there in. It could lead to a levitation scene and that’s just one more step towards an ESB rehash.

    • CT-7567

Probably SDCC and maybe even to push merchandise for FF. I can’t believe how close we are to another FF.

  • Alientek

Snoke is playing Ezra…or Ezra is playing Snoke

    https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a05c8b3f77aeab553968f3afa8e873e95c4db86b9571fa82c727da04ff60243d.gif

I don’t care who Benicio plays as long as he talks like Fenster from The Usual Suspects.

    • Hazzbro Jonez

hahhaaah……oh to see such cross-platform seeding made canonical in any major franchise would make me very happy.
i guess i am also one of those “why can’t the netflix marvel heroes be in the MCU” kind of people
i also wouldn’t mind a live-action Ahsoka but who knows what’s going on with her

      • Carbonite_Hydrates

The further the MCU and Netflix progress – the more it looks like the movies couldn’t care less about TV and any connection is superficial at best. Watch Marvel prove me wrong and Spiderman show up in the Defenders to blow us all away.

Just so Ashoka doesn’t look weird played by a person – I’m all in.

It makes so much sense for Ezra to be Snoke. From his use of the Force, to supply a reason other than death of what happens to him during the OT. Even the near weekly Young Indiana Jones Chronicles style cameos from historically significant figures in the Star Wars Universe. It makes sense he’s going on to bigger things.

It’s like Ezra is enrolled in a four year master class for galactic politics. So far he’s met all the major players except the Emperor, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Admiral Ackbar.

        • Rivesjunctionite

I think it’s more likely that the Defenders would cameo in Infinity War.
Ezra is supposed to die at the end of Rebels. Kanan too.

          • CT-7567

How many Marvel shows are there on Netflix? I’ve only watched Daredevil and I know about Luke Cage. Of course, I could just lignin and check or Google it. 🙂

          • Jimmy Griffin

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist. Defenders and Punisher coming soon.

          • CT-7567

Thanks, Jimmy. 🙂 I’ve only watched Daredevil. How are the others? I saw a ML Iron Fist figure with a ton of different hands in all kinds of kung fu poses. Its very cool but I don’t really know much about the character.

          • Jimmy Griffin

You’ve seen season 2 of Daredevil? Jessica Jones is, overall, probably the best one in terms of great television if not a great “comic book” show. It is very dark and very bold in it’s exploration of abusive relationships; not just between men and women but parents and children. David Tennant is in it, ‘nuf said. Luke Cage is also very good, the opening theme music is awesome and the acting is stellar. A lot of people really hate Iron Fist, I thought it was watchable but it is definitely the weakest; Jessica Henwick, who was Jess Pava in TFA and Nymeria Sand on GoT is in it and she is great.

          • CT-7567

Actually I haven’t watched past the first season of Daredevil. David Tennant is great. Do you like Doctor Who? Btw, you like Game of Thrones, right?

          • Jimmy Griffin

The Frank Castle parts of DD season 2 are great, I’m really looking forward to the Punisher series. The Punisher is really the only Marvel character I got into as far as reading the comics. I like Doctor Who, but I can’t really call myself a real fan. I’ve seen the Eccleston season and 1 and a half of the Tennant seasons; I want to try to at least finish the Tennant episodes some day. Heck yeah I like Game of Thrones. Haven’t seen the new season premier yet.

          • CT-7567

I just watched the Thrones premiere on demand yesterday. It’s pretty good. I think season seven is going to be great. Who’s your favorite character? I like Jon Snow.

          • Jimmy Griffin

Man, that is a hard question. In the first season it was Ned Stark; I really like Tyrion, and Bronn. Davos is cool. I do like Jon Snow a lot. I certainly hope both he and Daenerys end up surviving everything. The great thing about the show is that even the evil characters are written so well that you still find something to enjoy about them.

          • CT-7567

It may sound predictable, but I could easily see Jon Snow and Daenerys married to each other for purposes of an alliance. I want to see Little Finger die. Sansa is most definitely a little cutie, but even I feel a bit weird looking at her as “hot” considering how young she was when the show started. He’s most definitely a dirty old man. Jon needed the Knights of the Vale at the battle of the b*stards, but from this point out Baelish is probably going to be more dangerous to the North than helpful.

          • Jimmy Griffin

Oh, yeah, Baelish is dangerous to everybody. He believes in absolutely nothing but his own advancement and getting with Sansa because she reminds him of her mother. As bad as Cersei is, she at least loved her children (in her own twisted way); Jaime has had a fascinating character arc and evolution; I’d like to see him end up doing the right thing, but I have a feeling that ultimately he is going to end up dying for, or because of, Cersei.

          • Carbonite_Hydrates

Who says Ezra is supposed to die? And this is Star Wars – Where the man who was Anakin Skywalker died — from a certain point of view.

          • Rivesjunctionite

I say that. Ezra needs to be the antiLuke. He needs to fall to the dark side and be killed by Kanan in a climactic duel. I had such high hopes for Maul and that Sith holocron, and they were wasted. But there’s still time!

          • Carbonite_Hydrates

I love your theory. What happens to Kanan after the duel?

That stuff isn’t wasted yet — hopefully just delayed.

          • Rivesjunctionite

Kanan dies of a broken heart while giving birth to twins.
            History repeats itself you see.

        • CT-7567

Are you using italics to hint at something ala Paul?

          • Carbonite_Hydrates

            No.

    • Carbonite_Hydrates

      I certainly hope so.

What a concept if this is true. Imagine if Disney okayed a back door prequel / origin story for the new main bad guy in Star Wars.

And look at everyone Ezra has met on the show. It’s like a whose who of all the right people who could influence a kids to be this big galactic leader. It’s also all the same people Luke knows. Ezra even knows Lando.

It really seemed like Rebels was going this way in season 1 and into season 2. Season 3 past the first episode sort of lost this dark Ezra thread and the show spent half a season vaguely lost before finishing up the last quarter of season 3 strong.

Did they push the Snoke thing to fast – to soon, and the odd mish-mash of episodes was to compensate for that? Put the breaks on?

Also The Last Jedi was pushed back from May 2017 to December 2017? Could those filler episodes of Rebels been a list minute scramble to make sure the Snoke reveal on the show lines up with The Last Jedi’s release?

I’m probably giving Rebels too much credit — again. The show burned me in the middle both season 2 and 3. Yet somehow Rebels starts and ends each season in a way that gives me hope over the summer break that last long enough to keep me tuned in.

Well the gloves are off now in the last season. Will the Last Jedi reveal Ezra and the second half of season 4 flush everything out?

Do Ezra and Kanan venture outside of the universe with Admiral Thrawn? Off on some other mission of huge galactic importance. Something that ultimately uncovers powerful ways of the Force that are neither Jedi or Sith?

      • dogbite

The thing is, Snoke doesn’t look human, even under all the mutilations & scarring.

Tbf Palpatine didn’t look too “human” towards the end either, but I digress.

        • Carbonite_Hydrates

We’ll find out in December. Exciting times.

    • CT-7567

Are you a Bond fan by any chance? Benicio was awesome in License to Kill.

    • Jeffrozup

Hello. Is this thing on? Can you hear me in the back? He’ll flip you. Like flip you for real.

  • General Hux

I’m getting very excited, especially for FF at the moment, can’t wait for more toys!

    ;0

    • CT-7567

Me too! I want a TFATLJ Luke solo badly. 🙂

      • Jimmy Griffin

Without a doubt the main thing I’m waiting for.

        • CT-7567

I’m just worried that we’ll get TFA Luke but not his new TLJ costume, which is awesome, btw. Have you seen it? I can’t post a pic here because of spoilers, but it’s very reminiscent of his ROTJ costume. Jedi Luke is my favorite costume for Luke with Bespin fatigues being a close second.

          • Jimmy Griffin

Not sure if I’ve seen exactly what you’re referring to, I’ve seen pics from the film but what I’ve seen looks like what he had on in TFA. Agree that ROTJ Luke is my favorite Luke look.

          • CT-7567

He has a short, neat haircut and beard reminiscent of medieval EnglandArthurian myth. He wears a black outfit and glove on his right hand. The outfit looks pretty close to the ROTJ jumpsuit. Then there’s a cape. No hood. Almost like a shawl. Im not crazy about it, but the rest looks great. Apparently he will change his look at some point in TLJ. Probably when they leave Ach-To. So we need the TFA look and this new look for figures. I have a pic of him in this outfit but , even though I just described it, I can’t post it here. I first saw it on the site called MakingStarWars . If you read any to see it you might be able to find it there, although it was a while ago that they posted it. Let’s just say that if you like his ROTJ outfit you’re probably going to like it.

          • dogbite

Agreed, it’s the perfect mishmash of Jedi Knight Luke, Ben Kenobi & Jedi Knight Anakin. The big glove is actually perfect, looks like something a falconer would use lol

          • Jimmy Griffin

What do you think is the best figure of ROTJ Luke?

          • CT-7567

TVC Endor Capture Luke. I’d love to see that one used for a proper Jedi Knight Luke and Endor Gear Luke.

          • Jimmy Griffin

I don’t have that one, but yeah the general consensus seems to be that it is magnificent. If Hasbro knew what they were doing that would have been the one they reissued in the TBS line and that would have included all of the following accessories: binders, cloak, palace blaster, lightsaber construction stuff, poncho/hat from endor-basically any accessory you would need to create any version of ROTJ Luke.

          • CT-7567

Absolutely, but Hasbro would never do that. The saber construction Luke is a great figure too. The incorrect cape(or actually robes) really bug me. His hair is parted on tge wrong side and I prefer my Jedi Luke figures to have the black glove like the vintage Kenner figure. They could use the body of the saber construction Luke with the head and gloved hand from the Endor Capture figure. Add the correct cape(imo the Kenner one is still the best) and palace blaster and we’d have a definitive Jedi Luke. The same process could be used for Endor Luke, as you point out, only with the Endor Capture figure in its entirety like you said. I’d say forget the saber construction figure and just give the Endor Capture figure a soft-goods vest, but I don’t see Hasbro making one that would both look good and be made of quality material.

          • dogbite

That is a good one, but the hands in particular have aged terribly.

Also didn’t they do a Jedi Knight Luke based on that figure already in the deleted scene wave of TVC?

          • CT-7567

Yes. The hair is parted on the wrong side, the Jedi robe is incorrect and he doesn’t have a palace blaster. To me that’s not quite a true Jedi Luke. It’s a fine figure however and easily could be made into a great Jedi Luke. I also prefer the right hand be gloved. He didn’t have it on in Jabba’s Palace, but the original Kenner had it.

          • 11Eleven11

Jimmy, I know this is going to be an unpopular answer, but honestly, my favorite Luke Jedi figure is the 5POA from the Rebels line a couple of years ago. Yes, I know, 5POA, but the thing is just brilliantly sculpted and the later ones without the bug eyes are even painted well. Best 5POA figure in the history of the line, IMO.

          • Jimmy Griffin

Thanks for the input. I took a look at it and it is a nice figure. I’ve actually been looking to get a “flap down” Luke as I don’t already have one.

          • dogbite

Might as well bite the bullet, you’re only other option really is 6poa from ages ago or a couple of more modern figures with wonky proportions & cheesy “action features”

          • 11Eleven11

I think we’ll see the costume you speak of AFTER Christmas.

          • CT-7567

Hopefully, that’s because there’d be a spoiler if the figure were released before the film. A particular weapon that we may or may not see him use while in that costume.

          • Paul

Shoot, I’m still hoping that jedi robe Luke comes with his lightsaber.

Also if Luke doesn’t use his saber at some point in TLJ I’m going to be incredibly disappointed.

          • 11Eleven11

Me too, but as far as the Jedi robe Luke, I would bet you my house that it won’t come with the ROTJ saber. *MAYBE* the Anakin saber simply because we know Rey hands it to him, but not the other one. That would give away a huge plot point.

          • Paul

You were right. You were right about this figure. Tell your sister you were right.

          • Darth_Rizzen

            Christmas 2019, naturally. ?

      • Mike_5555

It’s insane to me that we still don’t have a TFA Luke figure. The film came out in 2015. And it’s Luke Skywalker.

        • Jimmy Griffin

Insane would be one way to put it; stupid would be another. Yet another way to put it would be business as usual for Hasbro for the last few years.

        • dogbite

My hope is that it is a home-run of a figure, out of the ballpark, not just best Luke but one of the best period. But we shall see.

Also fingers double crossed for actual grey hair ;P

        • CT-7567

Ikr. I heard they almost did a mail-away campaign. “”Find Luke Skywalker” would’ve been an excellent figure promotion to tie-in to TFA. Even if it was just a 5poa Luke.

    • Josuethefanboy_7

Especially since we never seen the sculpts and new characters in figure form is the exciting and fun part the thrill of the hunt for the bounty! #pumped ?

    • darthmo

Are these going to be more 5POA offerings or an interim slightly better option from Hasbro? If it’s more of the same I’ll wait until next year.

      • General Hux

According to JTA there may be some some figures that are more than 5POA.

        • dogbite

Hmm but to what quantity? The FO scout trooper had knees, I wonder if they’ll keep it to deluxe figures/vehicle pack ins. If they aren’t going to do at least ball shoulders, I can’t help but feel that any other poa don’t count for too much 🙁

        • darthmo

Interesting…. very curious to see what they serve up…

  • Darth_Rizzen

These interviews didn’t reveal much of anything, but they were certainly entertaining.

As for how I feel about the TLJ reveals and the future toys, well…
    https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6d576275a49fd15790f592b90288d83efaad4509c94dd79c184f7e629c655c72.jpg

The best I can muster right now is “cautious optimism” for the film itself.

    As for the toys:
Hasbro will most likely release more Nerf and 5POA, TBS6 being as good as dead in France. Wake me up when TVC returns in 2018.
Lego’s sets have already been leaked. The ships are OK, I probably won’t get them, though.
I’m interested in what SH Figuarts and MAFEX have planned.

    • dogbite

I like to think nerf came about in a year, it can be done in about the same timeline & NO ONE would complain.

If they must, there’s gotta be some way to do it better. Have you seen how small some of these nerf darts they’re making these days are?

        I most certainly wouldn’t. ?

The darts got smaller (N-Strike, I think they call it) but the launch mechanism itself is still very cumbersome.

I honestly don’t see how it could be seamlessly integrated into, say, a 3.75″ compatible X-Wing or a TIE/LN fighter. Remember the 2016 A-Wing? ?

At least give the option of removing the blasted thing. It could be done on the TIE Striker with a little patience and a screwdriver.

  • Josuethefanboy_7

DJ = Django = Boba Fett there’s your answer Benicio Del Toro is probably Boba Fett.

    • Jimmy Griffin

I sincerely never get tired of seeing Star Trek references on this site.

  • shane

    Again, in total agreement.

  • Jeffrozup

That came with a hand, do you have it too? HA, classic.

  • darthmo

I believe EpVIII will be the best modern film as long as it’s not a literal ESB homage, Johnson is just too good a film maker.

    • dogbite

I’m confused, why do people always say such things about Rian Johnson? Hasn’t he only directed, like, 1 actual movie?

      • darthmo

More than that and each one has been a solid offering. While he’s not had the commercial track record or success like JJ apart from Looper he’s more a film maker to me than JJ.
I truly believe this is our one shot in this trilogy for a really great SW film, for me if Johnson can’t do it it won’t happen unless a miracle occurs.

        • dogbite

I see what you’re saying, I suppose. Certainly out of the batch of young directors originally slated for these new film offerings, Johnson has one of the strongest back catalogues. Still, it’s a gamble for sure, one I also hope pays off.

And honestly? I feel safe in Ron Howard’s capable hands. He’s had a string of good movies come out the past few years, so I’m hoping Han Solo can build off all that momentum. The other directors, though…yaah.

          • darthmo

I have a love hate relationship with Ron Howard films. Some are solid and some in equal portions are mediocre at best. It doesn’t bother me though as the HS film holds little interest for me. If it does manage to get solid reviews I may reserve it for streaming once available.

  • Seb

    Rogue One? Talk about mediocre…
