Even more uninspired than the TFA ones. Is it a requirement at the house of mouse to recycle every 21st century poster cliché in the book? I would have preferred a third rate Struzan tribute artist over this photoshoped crap.

Having said that, It’s just bad artwork and I think it will pretty impossible for TLJ to suck any more than TFA did which will probably borrow heavily from Empire but won’t be an outright parody of an OT film in the way that VII was with IV.

    • Fercho

Heard that TLJ is heading up to be really cool but, you know, we used to say the same for TFA. And of course, it’ll be somehow compared to ESB as is the second in the (new) trilogy and because of the old Master training the rookie. Let’s hope to have something “decent” (Let’s be cautious for not asking for something spectacular) onscreen.

  • OMG! It IS going to be a vampire dinner party like those old leaked TMZ photos! Insanity!

    • darthmo

Hmmm, yes there does seem to be a Vampire theme when you throw those leaked Count Dracula images into the mix…

  • 6starwars

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays from Luke, Leia, Kylo, Finn, Rey, and Poe!

    • Shawn

and a very Merry Life Day.

  • So much red!

  • What’s that Vampire series of movies? True Blood? These look like those posters.

    • Twilight. Definitely…I was trying to find a picture to post under your comment lol

        • Fercho

“The Volturi Family” (Not related to Vulture Droids at all).

      • CT-7567

Laura Dern’s hairstyle in the TBS video is VERY Hunger Games.

        • Oh yeah, definitely. I kept hearing that, but now seeing it. It absolutely is.

        • Mike_5555

It does, and it’s one of the few designs elements from TLJ that I’m not a fan of at least right now. I just hope they don’t waste Laura Dern like they wasted Max Von Sydow.

          • CT-7567

Agreed. Von Sydow is a pretty great actor. He could have given TFA some Alec GuinessIan McDiarmidPeter Cushing gravitas.

  • JediJones

After Abrams gave us an utterly conventional, derivative Star Wars movie, the risk with Rian Johnson is that he goes too far in the avant-garde, un-Star-Wars-y direction. Case in point.

That’s sounds like it’s going to be the case. We will find out in 5 months.

  • JediJones

    Their bodies are reddy…

  • Someone’s homage to Peter Gabriel?

  • Darth Your Mom

Does anyone care about Finn or Poe? Seriously, they are so uninteresting, especially Poe. I am more excited to see R2 back in action and Chewbacca.

    • ShortForADoe

      Nice joke

No, I am quite serious. I’m looking forward to seeing Chewie and R2 Cardboard is more interesting than these two.

It’s amazing Baze and Chirrut had less screen time but actually possessed a presence.

        • JediJones

Finn was worse than having no presence. He was actively annoying and unlikable on the screen. Same thing people said about Jar Jar but I never felt Jar Jar was that bad.

  • zx_spectrum_30

From the posters and bts reel there is a definate Harry Potter/Twilight vibe going on…I hope that isn’t where Disney Lucasfilm see the target market.

    • shane

      It is

  • Jimmy Griffin

They’re all spending the Holidays at grandma Leia’s house and she thought it would be cute to get everybody matching bathrobes and insisted they all wear them for pictures on Christmas morning.

  • CT-7567

I definitely don’t like that Luke is holding the Anakin saber. I realize Rey is too, but I really want him to have his green saber. This movie is all about the return of Luke for me.

    • Coleman Miller

They want to save the surprise of him with the green lightsaber for the movie. Oh wait that’s Hasbro’s excuse. Nevermind!

    • I’d assumed the green saber was lost on the second Death Star as he confronted the Emperor. Then again, after the Death Star was destroyed it may have somehow survived and floated through time and space for 30-odd years only to miraculously find it’s way back to old man Luke on some deserted island. Hey, it’s Disney; if a princess can freeze everything including her own sister and sell millions of dolls I guess a lightsaber can survive against the laws of physics too.

      • CT-7567

Hope. Watch ROTJ again. It’s hanging from his belt when he returns to the Ewok village. 🙂

      • CT-7567

Sorry, I meant to say, “Nope” not “hope”.

    • Funtomaz

You win the comments section for today! 😀

    • bobcat

😀 good one! i was going to say something along the lines of ”is that the only colour they had available or could afford for this movie or something” but you said it all 🙂

    • JediJones

First he didn’t get a medal and now this.

  • Carbonite_Hydrates

Does the color red mean something for the theme or tone of the movie? Or is this a reference to the battle with red dust we saw in the teaser?

    • Perhaps it’s like the red dust from “V”?

  • Like an abusive relationship; how embarrassing does this franchise have to get before we grown men finally say “enough, I’m done” and let it go? My $10 movie ticket means nothing to Lucasfilm or Disney but somehow I like the thought of their coffers being short by that $10.

  • ExarKun777

Oh great! And Snoke will be the Big Bad Wolf.

  • JasonBL

I wonder if there is something to tell from all the body language and direction of poses…

  • ILoveSand

Is this movie going to be a bloodbath?
